About Grace City Church

Our Mission

Grace City Church’s mission is to proclaim salvation through Christ, nurture believers in their faith, meet the needs of the local community, and equip disciples for ministry in the kingdom and beyond. We are guided by our core values of worship, community, love, prayer, generosity, integrity, and honor.

We strive to spread the message of love and hope. Our mission is to serve our community and inspire spiritual growth through faith-based activities.

Who We Strive To Be

A community of committed servants sharing the transformative power of God's grace by creating a welcoming space where individuals can experience spiritual growth and authentic community.

• A diverse body of believers, a celebratory church of missional, disciple-making.

  • A relational citywide network strategized on reaching Miami Valley, OH.

• Reproducers and developers of outward-focused churches worldwide.

What We Are Committed To

  • Worship as a dynamic experience of the presence of God through Word, Sacrament, Music, and Christian community.
  • Welcoming as an invitation to everyone to meet Jesus Christ no matter where they are on their spiritual journey of life.
  •  Empowering and enabling individuals, couples, and families to discover the power of the Holy Spirit through faith active in real life.
  •  We will grow together by creating meaningful opportunities that enhance each person’s confidence and joy in Jesus Christ through prayer, Bible study, and active service in our church, community, and world.

What We Believe

The Holy Bible

The Bible is the inspired, only infallible, and the authoritative written word of God.

The Trinity

There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Although each member serves different functions, these three are coequal and coeternal.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is God the Son, the second person of the Trinity. On earth, Jesus was 100% God and 100% man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on a cross for mankind, and thus atoned for our sins through the shedding of His blood. According to the Scriptures, He rose from the dead on the third day, ascended to the Father's right hand, and will return in power.

Salvation & New Birth

Salvation & New Birth includes genuine repentance of sin, water baptism, and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, evidenced by speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

Repentance

The commitment to turn away from sin in our lives and follow Christ’s way. Which allows us to receive his redemption and be regenerated by the Holy Spirit.

Santification

The ongoing process of transformation through yielding to God’s word and his spirit to complete the development of Christ’s character in us. It is through the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and the word of God that Christians are enabled to live healthy, whole, and Godly lives.

The Church

The body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of Jesus’ Great Commission. Every person who is born of the Spirit is an integral part of the church as a member of the body of believers. There is a spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Rapture

At the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, according to I Thessalonians  4:16-17, the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, and the dead in Christ shall rise first. And we that remain shall be caught (raptured) up to meet the Lord in the air.

TWO SACRAMENTS

WATER BAPTISM - Following the confession of their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, new converts are commanded by the Word of God to be baptized in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

THE LORD’S SUPPER - This is a time of communion in the presence of God when the elements of bread and grape juice (representing the body and blood of Jesus Christ) are taken in remembrance of Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross.
